Luckster sportsbook might have an Irish theme, but it’s an international sports betting site, casino and live casino, and a great option for New Zealand players. You can set NZD as your account currency when you register.

Luckster is relatively new, but there’s a promising track record behind it. The company that runs it, Marketplay Ltd, works with Aspire Global International Ltd, which has been in the industry for more than 15 years and has a solid reputation.

The operator has a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, a highly respected regulator. Our experts found further proof that it’s a reputable site on the security, privacy and responsible gaming pages, which demonstrate that customer protection is a priority.

Our BetKiwi experts are methodical, ensuring every aspect of the site is explored. Plus, having a system means each site is reviewed objectively, making it easy for you to compare and choose.

In this guide, you’ll find out about the platform’s bonuses, events and markets, mobile access, payment options, customer support and more.

  • Trusted site regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority
  • Decent mix of mainstream and niche sports events
  • Friendly and efficient customer service team
  • Decent choice of banking methods for NZ players
  • In-Play betting available
  • Live chat is only for registered members and isn’t 24/7
  • Not many ongoing promotions
  • Several payment methods excluded from welcome offer
  • Limited live streaming
  • Website design is a little cluttered

Luckster Sportsbook Bonuses

When browsing the available promotions, you can filter between casino and sportsbook bonuses. Plus, keep an eye out for limited-time offers that appear at the top of the page. Most rewards are triggered automatically once you deposit, so no need to look out for promo codes.

Occasionally, there might be a Luckster sportsbook no deposit bonus, although it wasn’t on offer during our review. There are other ways to benefit, though, including the welcome offer, boosts, and early cashout. We’d like to see a few more promotions, but what we found ticks a lot of boxes, so we rate the bonuses 3.5/5.

Our BetKiwi experts have reviewed each promotion and you can read their thoughts below.

Welcome Offer

Since there isn’t a current Luckster sportsbook no deposit bonus, we’ll get straight to the sports welcome offer. New customers can claim a 100% match on their first deposit of up to $100.

The minimum deposit to trigger the bonus is $20. Keep in mind that PayPal, Paysafecard, Neteller and Skrill deposits aren’t eligible. You have 14 days to use the offer and it needs to be wagered 9x before you can withdraw your winnings.

There are a few conditions worth noting about the bets you can place. They need to have odds of 2.00 or greater, which is fairly standard, although on the higher side for minimum odds. You can place combination or system bets with minimum odds of 1.40, though. Only the first bet in each market applies.

There are a few other exclusions and rules, so it’s worth checking out the full terms. Overall, it’s a pretty generous offer with requirements that aren’t too onerous.

Combo Boosts

You can get a percentage boost on your winnings from the sportsbook when you add multiple selections to form an accumulator or system bet. The boost you get depends on the number of event selections. For example, the minimum number to qualify is four, which gets you a 4% boost.

The maximum combo boost you can receive on your winnings is 77%, with 15 selections in your bet. The minimum odds for each selection are 1.50. The boost is credited as a real-money win. However, there are some exceptions for eligible bet types, so check the full terms. We’re pleased to see this bonus available since it’s an offer you can claim multiple times!

Cash Out Option

It’s more of a feature than a promotion, but the cashout option helps you reduce your risk and might get you a payout when you wouldn’t normally get one. The cashout option is available for certain bets which meet the minimum criteria. You need to have wagered at least $0.20 and have minimum combined odds of 1.10.

You can check your active bets to see if you can cash out. The amount will be shown, and you can decide whether to click cashout. You can use it to cut your losses or remove some risk to guarantee a win, even if it’s smaller than your original expected payout.

Luckster Sports Welcome Offer

Sports Betting At Luckster

The sportsbook is easy to navigate, even though it contains a lot of events and information. From the menu, you can browse the different sports. Plus, there’s the option to look at the day’s events, or action happening in the next 24 hours, three days or week.

We’ve explored the different sports, events, leagues, tournaments and markets below. Plus, our BetKiwi experts, Olivia and Wayne, took a closer look at the in-play betting options. The overall selection is broad, with popular and niche events well covered, so we rate it 4/5.

Events

While having a decent range of sports is essential, the events that are available are just as crucial. For example, the Rugby World Cup is covered, as is the Super Rugby Pacific.
Cricket has decent event coverage, too, although the main focus is internationals. You can bet on The Ashes, the T20 World Cup and ODIs. There’s also a range of betting options for the IPL, the new WPL and the Pakistan Super League.

The sports with the most events are football, basketball, tennis and baseball. You’ll have access to national football league match bets from around the globe, as well as international tournaments, such as the Champions League, UEFA Euros, World Cup and Women’s World Cup.

Markets

The list of sports and events is extensive. However, there are many cases where the only option available is an outright bet on the overall winner. If that’s not your thing, you can still find plenty of events with markets that provide a few more options.

For example, in the final week of the Six Nations, each match had more than 40 markets available, including 1×2, winning margin, over/under, Asian handicap, European handicaps, double chance and first-half bets.

If you follow Aussie Rules, you’ll find around 20 markets for each of the games. On the other hand, EPL matches usually have more than 300 markets available. The games present the ideal opportunity to use the Luckster sportsbook bet builder to customise your wagers.

In-Play

By switching to the in-play section, you can see all of the games that are currently live. You’ll have opportunities to bet on them as the action plays out. We noted football, basketball, tennis, badminton, baseball and esports in-play markets.

Most events have statistics and animations, but you can also find live streams, especially for esports matches. You’ll also find more precise betting options for each map or stage of a match.
Did You Know?
You can click the star icon next to an event to add it to your favourites. It makes it easier to find the matches that you’re following all in one place.

Mobile Betting At Luckster

Luckster sportsbook is accessible from your smartphone or tablet. You can visit the sports betting platform via your mobile browser. Once there, you can sign in using the same credentials to access your account, bonuses, deposits and withdrawals.

The betting markets are the same, no matter which device you’re using. It’s a lot of information for a small screen, but the optimised site does a good job of arranging it so that you can browse by scrolling from your touchscreen. The menus could be more intuitive, but once you get where you want to go, it’s easy to add selections to your bet slip.

Luckster Payment Methods

There are many options for payment methods at Luckster sportsbook available for NZ customers. It’s a fiat site with e-wallet, bank card and voucher payment options. We would like to see some cryptos available, but what’s available should suit most Kiwis, so we rate it 3.5/5.

Some of the more popular deposit methods are Visa, Mastercard, CashtoCode eVoucher, Poli by AstroPay, Jeton, ecoPayz, Skrill and MuchBetter. Deposits arrive instantly, and, although the sportsbook reserves the right to charge fees for transactions, we didn’t see any listed at the deposit stage.

You’ll be invited to set up deposit limits for your account when you register or from your account page.

Most payment options are also available for withdrawal, with the exception of Mastercard debit and credit cards, and in some cases, Visa credit cards. The minimum transaction for deposits and withdrawals is $20, and if required, you can withdraw via bank wire.

As before, the sportsbook reserves the right to charge fees, but we didn’t see any listed when we visited the cashier. Maximum withdrawal limits apply based on the method. There’s a monthly cap of $14,000.

The majority of requests are processed instantly, so the funds should arrive in your account quickly. Debit card payments can take up to six working days, e-wallets, such as Skrill and MuchBetter are up to two working days, and instant banking and ecoPayz are up to four working days. A wire transfer will take between 2-6 business days.

Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are in place. You’ll be asked to verify your identity, and might also be asked to prove your address and source of funds.

Luckster Customer Support

Luckster sportsbook encourages players to check the FAQ page first. It covers topics like accounts, bonuses, deposits and technical issues. There’s extensive information on the page, which is useful, but overwhelming in the way it’s laid out.

Since the site is based in Malta, it uses Central European Time, with live chat operating from 8 am to midnight. Our BetKiwi experts got fast and helpful responses to their queries. On top of that, the customer service team members were professional and friendly.

Even though it isn’t 24/7, live chat is still the fastest option. It can take several hours to get a response after filling out the contact form, and sending an email to [email protected] is a similar scenario. Overall, it deserves a rating of 4/5.

Development of Luckster Sportsbook

Luckster sportsbook launched in 2021. The brand is owned by Marketplay Ltd and the site is run by Aspire Global International Ltd, which is based in Malta. The site is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

Users can access the site in three languages: English, Suomi and French. The site accepts customers from several countries, including New Zealand, and you can play in NZD and other currencies, including USD, CAD, AUD, and EUR.

Signing up is a quick and easy process and you can complete your registration in a matter of minutes. Create your credentials, then add your email address, name, phone number, date of birth and address to get started.

Reliability of Luckster Sportsbook

No matter how impressed our Bet Kiwi experts are with a sports betting platform, it all still comes down to reliability. We checked to see if Luckster online sportsbook is trustworthy and whether it meets our high standards for reliability.

With well over a year of operation under its belt, the sports betting site has begun to deliver a consistent track record that shows it’s legit and reputable.

Players don’t stick around if sportsbooks aren’t responsive to issues and don’t pay out. The fact that Luckster is run by an experienced operator is also a positive sign, even if it’s early days. The responsive customer support and detailed policies were two other points in this sportsbook’s favour.

The MGA licence is a strong indication that Luckster is reliable. MGA is a rigorous regulatory body and one that is very well-known. We know it looks into policies, finances, independent testing and fair play. Additionally, it checks for an appropriate company structure before awarding a licence.

Luckster sportsbook’s website footer contains all of the legal documents and policies that we’d expect from a site of this calibre.

It has a fair play statement, a bonus policy, clear terms and conditions, privacy, security and payments policies, support, sports betting rules and a dedicated responsible gambling page.

All these things point to transparency, which is yet another factor showing that the platform is a safe place for betting.

Besides the responsible gambling page, the betting site signposts support organisations, such as GamCare, from the home page. On top of that, it encourages players to set up deposit limits and reality checks from the moment they open an account.

Combine that with the problem gambling quiz, options for cooling-off and self-exclusion, and session limits, and it’s clear player protection is prioritised.

Based on everything we’ve seen, we feel confident that Luckster is a safe place for sports betting.

Did You Know?
Luckster sportsbook provides recommendations for tools that help prevent minors from accessing its site. While age verification checks are essential, parents can play a role. There are several options for software, such as Gamlock, that can filter and block content based on age restrictions.

BetKiwi Expert Verdict About Luckster

Luckster sportsbook is a trustworthy and well-put-together operation. The list of sports is extensive, as reflected by our rating. Plus, it meets the highest standards when it comes to licensing, fairness and security. With these two core aspects taken care of, we feel confident recommending the site.

Although the sportsbook would’ve received a higher rating if there was a Luckster sportsbook no deposit bonus, we still appreciated the welcome package, accumulator boost and cashout option.

Users get off to a good start and can regularly benefit from the boost offer, which. However, we would like to see more ongoing promotions including bet insurance and free bets.

The sportsbook lost a few points when it came to payments, customer support and bonus terms. These were minor issues, but they are definitely areas that affect how much Kiwis enjoy the site.

Generally, the site navigation worked well, but there were a few issues with viewing sports betting menus and using the search function. It wasn’t as intuitive or accessible on the mobile site.

We rated the customer support team as helpful and polite, but 24/7 live chat and well-organised FAQs would make the overall experience even better.
